“The Killington [Vermont] Police Department consists of three officers … [and] is a part-time law enforcement organization, responsible for over 54 miles of roads, 3,171 [property] tax accounts, and up to 16,000 people [at the resort] on a busy weekend (winter/summer).”
That’s not defunded, it’s underfunded, and grossly inadequate.
