There seems to be no dispute the perpetrator was a white supremacist, with the connections and even the tattoos, but that in and of itself is nothing. He legally purchased the handgun used in the incident and his “… appearance and demeanor in the [gun] shop ‘raised no eyebrows whatsoever'”.  While he was demoted and received a general discharge from the United States Army for “patterns of misconduct,” and that he was a loner, who rarely left his apartment or made eye contact with his neighbors, and talked about an “impending racial holy war,” none of it means a darn thing in society today.
