Mass shootings and the like are generally committed by people who are like trigger happy sh..house mice. There’s a lot of trigger happy Americans in this country and a lot of people who are like sh..house mice, but when you combine the two, that’s when it can become tragic. Unfortunately, neither condition can generally be readily detected and/or remedied in an effective fashion, never mind in a timely one. Which means we don’t see the beast coming until it arrives. We need to do our best to identify and stop those who are the next mass shooters, but generally, we can’t pick them out, never mind stop them. So do yourself a favor, whenever you’re in public, be hypervigilant, and be ready to “Run. Hide. Fight.”
