Basically, those in red, were likely preventable, those in gray were likely debatable/inconclusive, and those in green were likely unpreventable. Numerous pre-incident, incident, and/or post-incident factors impact our scoring data so please consult the Preventable Mass Shootings Database before making any conclusions concerning this data. Also, be advised that scoring is very fluid based on our comprehensive and relentless research and therefore any and all data is subject to change. Also, bear in mind that scoring is based on prevailing factors at the time of the mass shootings. In other words, if the same mass shootings were to happen today our hopefully learned responses to them would have made a positive difference.
